I hear that yesterday (Wednesday) double-headed 92s went north near Preston with a short rake of blood and custard stock and later appeared southbound now topping and tailing. They were shortly followed by a WCR 47/57. Don't know what the times were. Anyone know what these workings were?

GBRf testing some new equipment on 92014, fitted as a result of the electrical supply problems experienced by Class 92's over the past year or so on certain parts of the WCML. It's running again today, but the stock is booked to go back to Bo'ness tomorrow.

Not blood and custard carriages, was the maroon SRPS stock. Not sure you call nine carriages a 'short' consist!!!
