Not so, as that station was on the bypass line on the Inverness and Aberdeen Junction Railway and would have carried on downwards on that line, but after Brodie, we would have taken the line junction leading to the next leg of this journey, the Inverness and Perth Junction Railway.

Apologies from clueless Sassenach blinded by the name Aberdeen, from the name Perth...

We next move to England for the next journey.....

This is number 991 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Wombwell Central
It follows the line of the SYR Barnsley to Doncaster Line
It then follows the line of the GN&GEJR Doncaster to Sleaford Line
It then follows the line of the Bourne and Sleaford Railway
It then follows the line of the M&GNJR Twenty to Sutton Bridge Line
It then follows the line of the Peterborough, Wisbech and Sutton Bridge Railway
It then follows the line of the Northampton and Peterborough Railway
It then follows the line of the MR Northampton to Bedford Line
It then follows the line of the Midland Railway Main Line
It then follows the line of the MR Dudding Hill Line
The journey ends at the closed station of Harlesden (MR)

The first closed station on this journey is Wombwell Central
