A semi-rural part of north-west England
We next move to England for the next journey.....

This is number 1001 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Pateley Bridge
It follows the line of the Nidd Valley Railway
It then follows the line of the NER Harrogate Line...link line only, no closed stations
It then follows the line of the NER Harrogate to Church Fenton Line
It then follows the line of the York and North Midland Railway
It then follows the line of the North Midland Railway...note 1st and 2nd stations
It then follows the line of the MR Erewash Valley Line...note 2nd and 3rd stations in the Long Eaton area
It then follows the line of the Midland Counties Railway
It then follows the line of the Rugby and Stamford Railway
It then follows the line of the Syston and Peterborough Railway
It then follows the line of the GER Peterborough to Ely Line
It then follows the line of the Ely and St Ives Railway
It then follows the line of the GER St Ives to Cambridge Branch Line
The journey ends at the closed station of Histon

The first closed station on this journey is Pateley Bridge
