I'm about to do some touring of the south west using principally 1st GW and Xcountry trains. Can someone please tell me which, if any, classes have sockets in their carriages where i can charge my phone, music player and camera please?
I know they've only just been brought back into use with FGW...but I'm reasonably sure I saw some on the 180s I've been on recently. -not that they reach the south-west as such, really.
In case you're not familiar with FGW HSTs, the power sockets are located below the seats in front of you. (The number of times I've seen people looking around for a socket and giving up, or sitting at a table thinking this is the only place to plug in a phone...).
No. They are identical in every way to the existing Pendolinos. I hope sockets will be added once the entire fleet goes in for a major refurbishment. The current lack of sockets is, as you say, very frustrating, and is not to be expected on such modern rolling stock.
