Started from Keighley, travelling on the Skip-KX with 43300/295. Then across the Pennines on 185141. Down to Crewe on 323223 (one of the 'dedicated' sets for Manchester Airport services in BR days).
At Crewe it was to do the Pendo-drag, but not before viewing the Uk Railtours Southport trip with 67005/029.
Then it was off to Chester with 57311 dragging 390023. Up to Liverpool 508131, got off at James St & had a 2 hour break at the Albert Dock and went to see a Titanic exhibition at the Maritime Muesum.
Back on trains, 507023 took me the short trip to Lime St, then it was time for a couple of red pen moves, 350118 to Crewe and 350116 to Stoke. At Stoke went to Stockport on 323231.
Then across the Hope Valley on EMT's 158806 to Sheffield, followed by 158859 on the Northern express to Leeds, passing the UK railtour at Meadowhall.
158796 closed the day working 1919 to Ribblehead which I disembarked at Keighley.
Not a bad day out.
