Could I actually have a chance this week? Could I honestly come at least 3rd?

If I was allowed to, for the first time ever I would actually vote for my own picture! This is the first time I feel that my shot stands up well to the competition.

Seen as I'm not (I wouldn't anyway, it's dishonest!)... I'll go with 17. A nice effect shot there, and a pretty rare occurrence to boot.

The first one I feel I have a genuine chance of winning, and just 24 votes in more than four days 29 after 5¼, so not as bad I guess...

512 had 43 votes, 511 had 40; 510 however, the first I entered for some time, had only 34. Maybe people don't like voting when I'm around?

Why not?

You can't (or shouldn't!) vote for your own entry anyway so there is no harm in voting for the one you like (or think is) best.

People probably clicked the thumbnail to see what it actually was. The whole front of the train is in darkness, so without an expert eye knowing it from the lights.

As an image it doesn't really capture the train well at all, with most of the close area being in total darkness, I'd imagine that accounts for the voting.
