Cornbrook station (MSJ&AR)

This station served the Pomona Gardens area from 1856 to 1865. Can someone please let me know the location of that station in comparison to the current site position of the Metrolink Cornbrook station on the parallel running line.

The wiki description says it was "on the south side of Cornbrook Road".
If today's map bears any relation to the 1850s layout, that would be about 100 yards south of the current Metrolink station, roughly where the CLC route meets the MSJ&A route today.
The old OS maps on the NLS site don't have a version which shows the station, or the gardens.
The 1840s map was before any railways were built in the area, and the Cornbrook area is heavily industrial (chemical works etc).
The only gardens shown are roughly opposite Ordsall Hall.
The next one is from the 1890s after the railways and the MSC were built, and mostly shows the massive railway sidings that were there till the 1960s.
It also shows the Royal Botanical Gardens stretching south from the Throstle Nest area of the Bridgewater Canal, with Old Trafford station nearby.

The new Liverpool & Manchester Railway Atlas shows it as on the same site. One platform was in the same place as the existing Metrolink island platform, but extending a bit further north. The other platform was on the east side of the line, and extended a short way south and also a slightly greater distance north than the other platform.

"The Manchester South Junction & Altrincham Railway" (Oakwood Press - 1994 edition) has the site of the original Cornbrook station (01JUN1856 - 31MAY1865) as being on the South side of Cornbrook Road between Cornbrook Road and the site of the former Cornbrook East signal box.

Approximately where Ogden Street appears on the later 1890s map extract posted upthread by @LNW-GW Joint.

Looks only to have been alongside the running lines to Castlefield Junction, not sure if the parallel route into Manchester Central would even have been built by then.

The present day Metrolink Cornbrook station is, of course, built on the route of former line into Manchester Central, and is on the other (North) side of Cornbrook Road.
