Could rail passenger screening work?

It is a total load of bollocks thought up by politicians that don't know what it's like to ahve to use the railway.

An interesting, but totally ridiculous idea. Instead of crowded trains, people will take to the roads in droves.

And there will be queues for the screening. Terrorists like queues. :roll:

Meanwhile, if terrorists want to get to Heathrow, they will hardly be thwarted by this. They'll take Heathrow Connect. Or the tube. Or a bus. :roll:

I had a look at the platforms at Paddington which are usually used by the HEx and fail to see how they are going to do this. The space between the two "huts" there is rather small and what are they going to do about the platforms, put a tall fence between them? The fences can't go on forever & I'm sure it'd be easy to walk around them if you put a Hi-vis on.
