Ken Dodd - 'Tiers for Souvenirs' remix perhaps?

I do a weekly community radio programme. I'm supposed to be apolitical when on air, but I think I'll give Tears Of A Clown a spin this week without comment.

I predict a riot - Kaiser Chiefs

I do hope not, but I am sure that something may happen. There are a few 'pretty miffed' folk out there.

I will be playing Why by Annie Lennox, It's A Shame by The Spinners and Blame It On Me by Melanie C.

But I fear my playlist is drifting a little off topic. (Edit- I see a friendly mod has responded to my request to split this into a new thread so we can carry on)

I give you, "The World Turned Upside Down", sung here by Maddy Prior.

The lyrics are surprisingly topical for 2020.

‘The Good Old Days’ by the Libertines seems rather appropriate....

They also wrote a song called ‘Arbeit Macht Frei’, hopefully we’re not adding that one to any future Covid playlist!

One benefit of lockdown is the amount of djs doing live sets on social media.
Carl Cox, jazzy Jeff, allister whitehead all doing great sets

The Smiths - Panic
The Specials - Ghost Town

Funnily enough I listened to Carter USM’s cover of Panic earlier this evening and thought of this thread. I prefer it to the original actually. I prefer their cover of This Is How It Feels to the original as well, they were good at taking decent songs and adding a bit of ‘oomph’. Sorry going OT I know....

I like this thread. It's given me ideas for the football on Tuesday evening. Playlist so far includes:
The Specials - Ghost Town
Twisted Sister - We're Not Gonna Take It
The Stranglers - Something Better Change
De'lacy - Hideaway
REM - It's The End Of The World
