Surely West Coast would be a better option than suffering a rattling DMU?

My journey, is to "assist" someone (just make sure they get on the right trains!) from either East Croydon/Redhill/Watford Junction, through to Preston.

Wouldn't be needed today, but the 27th December throws up 1 350 (?), 2 busses, and then Pendo Coventry onwards.

I came up with East Croydon-Redhill-Birmingham-Preston.

I'd meet up at Redhill, as no trains avoiding St Pancras International (?!!) get me into East Croydon on time.

St Pancras International Low Level replaces Kings Cross Thameslink from 9th December.
