Cross Country problems at Leeds

Nightmarish today. 1 Voyager on 12.11 Leeds - New St ( from Edinburgh). Too many on the platform (12) , quite dangerous. Physically could not get on the train. Overcrowded. Then someone drops a bag between platform and train. Hopefully get on the 13.11 which is now 20 minutes late. Technically was hoping to be at Derby by now.

I think they took on LNER passengers, but the lack of stock is poor.

What a certain show.

Feel sorry for the staff.

Is the 1311 XC (from Leeds) a 2 x 4 car Voyager? Might just be more room on that one to shoehorn everyone on!

I'd say you are due a valid 'Delay Repay' claim as you were unable to board the 1211, but you might face difficulty in getting it approved without manual intervention, as XC's automated systems will just assert that it did run, and was only 23 mins down arriving into Derby.

Derby
Been a long time since I caught a Cross Country train, despite them running locally. Wherever possible, I use another operator.

Unfortunately, it will be difficult as I did the Split ticket app purchase. Harrogate- Sheff/ Sheff-Derby/ Derby- Brum.

If you had a valid itinerary, including travel via Leeds on the 1211 XC to Derby/Birmingham, don't see why you should be precluded from making a valid Delay Repay claim from XC if you were unable to board same.

I’ll have a try once home. Finally seated at Sheffield and have now just left Tamworth. So nearing the destination.
