Just trying to book a ticket on the Crosscountry Mobile site. The ticket I want is a cheaper and slower route than the normal route, where using a single via point isn't enough to make it work.

I have "requested desktop site" on Safari but it won't allow it.

On this occasion I am able to book the ticket on a PC using the full crosscountry website but for future reference, how would I be able to book such a slower route ticket using my mobile using Crosscountry's site?

(I am choosing Crosscountry because of its attractive Advance refund conditions)

I’ve had this and I think the work around was to use a different browser eg chrome opera etc) on the phone but then that seemed to stop working too as a solution to get to the desktop site.
And curiously I seem to recall CrossCountrys very useful advance offer does not apply to tickets booked via the app.

The reason you can't get to the full site using the Request Desktop Site function is that the mobile and desktop booking engines appear to be hosted completely separately. To access the desktop site, simply navigate directly to https://www.buytickets.crosscountrytrains.co.uk in your mobile browser.

Likewise, if for some reason you want the mobile version on a desktop browser, you can navigate directly to https://m.buytickets.crosscountrytrains.co.uk/.
