I understand that from 2017 Crossrail trains will run from Shenfield to Stratford then into the new tunnels to Whitechapel and Liverpool Street Crossrail station. However, I also understand that a limited number of services will run from Gidea Park to Stratford then along the current GEML to Liverpool Street Mainline station. Does anyone know what these latter services will be branded as, and whether the timetable will show two stations: "Liverpool Street Mainline" and "Liverpool Street Crossrail"?
Thanks

Unfortunately you misunderstand. Trains from Shenfield and Gidea Park will continue using the existing Liverpool St station until May 2019. After that they go down the tunnel at Pudding Mill Lane serving Whitechapel on the way to Paddington.

From May 2019 there will be some peak trains between Liverpool St GE station and Gidea Park, as 12 trains per hour between Liverpool St and Shenfield would be insufficient. Trains between Paddington and Shenfield will be the full 9 car formation, trains from Gidea Park will be 7 cars until platforms 16 and 17 at Liverpool St are lengthened to accommodate 9 cars.

All trains will be 'Elizabeth Line' trains, and the timetable will need to distinguish between the two Liverpool St stations, just as it will have to at Paddington as well.

OK, got it, thanks. Do you know whether the Elizabeth line will be fully incorporated into the tube map?

TfL have been putting it on the various future tube maps that appear in their various long term strategy documents ever since it was confirmed, so yes it will.
