Does anyone know the timings for the EDB-NCL-LDS-DBY-SOU Cruise Saver on the 21 April?

I cannot seem to find them anywhere! Even the cruisesaver website doesn't have them.

Thanks

Does anyone have details of what happens on the workings of these trains. The next Edinburgh-Southampton run is due on 21st April, but what happens to the empty stock after use. I have seen several videos of this train on the southern section of the ECML but never seen any timing details in this area.

Thanks

John

I went out to Winchester this afternoon to get a shot of it passing through. DRS liveried 47841 and 47818 were top and tailing it (47841 leading) - have uploaded it to my YouTube account (thetrackrecorder).

5Z73 16+27 Southamnpton Western Docks to Eastleigh TRSMD 17+20 appears to have been the next move.

Does anyone have the north bound timings? And does it run the same times on each run or do they differ

Presumably a single one is now hauling it?

Err, not sure now as its lost another 100+ minutes due to diesel traction problems and has just reported passing Chesterfield a whopping four hours and three minutes late! I presume the connection at Southampton is an "always makes" leap.... isn't it...?!

Was going to see it near Tyseley so any idea if or when it passed late.

It would appear that 47818 has also now collapsed on the Cruise Saver 'Spin and Win' - wnxx suggests 66520 rescued then 37409/601 forward. I've had a look at the P&O website but unable to find what time the 'Oriana' is due to sail. I really do hope it makes it - these people have a 22 day cruise booked.

It shown as departing Derby at 1534 so just under an hour away from TS I'd say.

SS Oriana apparently booked to depart at 16.30 so its on a mega minus...

Well the Oriana is underway... ...perhaps the cruise saver could terminate at Southampton Airport Parkway now? :D

I thought that was a wind-up but on checking the ship's webcam at http://www.pocruises.com/Cruise-Ships/Oriana/Ship-Webcams/ it would appear you are correct. I genuinely feel sorry for those on board the train - it looks like the ship's next stop is the Azores on Sunday.

Is that a live/current webcam photo ?

Doesn't look like the Oriana departed Southampton until 17:23 local and if the live AIS data is to be believed was abeam Cowes just after 18:00 local.

EDIT: Forgot to include AIS link:

They made it ?

Yes it is live. The charter hasn't got there yet. It was also advertised as taking passengers to a cruise on 'Ventura', which is due to depart at 19.00.

Hopefully the late departure was due to being held for these passengers? What time did the train actually arrive?

If there happened to be any enthusiasts on board that were going on holiday, they may well have cleared more traction than expected today!

Cant tell you what time it eventually arrived at Southampton, but i caught it going to Basingstoke at 18:08 - Original booked time was 14:14.

And to be fair to DRS, out of so many ran last year virtualy with out a hitch, they did seem to suffer quite an unusual hiccup today - 1 loco failing is a pain, but both locos? But even after 47841s failure in Drem Loop, Direct Rail Services certainly gave 818 a fair go - Even making up 35 minutes on the way (Down from 105 Minutes to 70 by this time) but today just wasnt 'Emilys' lucky day before she failed outside Wakefield Westgate & Swinton due to Low Oil.
