Fantastic! That definitely took me quite a bit of time to figure out.

Here's the next one:

What if the Derbyshire town situated 16 miles southeast of Manchester did not possess a structure found in one of the words in its name? If you happen to accompany this question by this question: should auld acquaintance be forgot? () You're likely to get a plethora of sharp-pointed opinions.

I do apologise if this is a bit long and tedious. I'm not all that great at creating these 'cryptic clues'.

Good luck. :)

Just a guess bassed on the derbyshire town maybe being Whaley Bridge...
Langwith-Whaley Thorns?
Open floor if correct.
Well done! That certainly didn't last long - I should've made it harder, haha. :)

Here's the clarifications, if you're interested:

Derbyshire town = Whaley (Bridge)

Accompany = With

Should auld acquaintance be forgot? = Lyrics from Auld Lang Syne hence the () colour coding.

Sharp-pointed = Thorns

Unjumble the four words and you get Langwith-Whaley Thorns! ;)

I THINK it's one near me, Horton-in Ribblesdale

Horton = star of Dr Seuss story
RIB = Rigid Inflatable Boat (needed the internet to suggest that)
blesdale = anagram of "seed ball"

Station -- not of Great Britain's National Rail -- whose name reflects popular romantic perception of the land-mass which it's on.

Is there a railway station named Belle Isle? (The Middleton Railway runs near Belle Isle in Leeds, much nearer than it runs to Middleton in fact!).

Belle Isle station or not, I wot not; in any case -- respectfully, I'm afraid you're definitely "cold" here.

This isn't as hard as it looks. Basically there are TWO clues to the same answer:

Half a county are on the lookout

for alternative:

Revolutionary rail movement

beermaddavep, you got it spot on.

Ches = half of Cheshire
hunt = look for

OR

Che (Guevara) = revolutionary
shunt = rail movement

Your try!

If the clue was The Spanish holding a race within a south East town I'd have suggested Margate (regata with an extra M).

Doncaster?

Perhaps...
"A Spanish title prefixed to a male forename" (according to Google) > Don
A translation of "race" in Spanish > Casta (Caster)

Although I don't see how the South East comes into that. :(
