Has to be Church Stretton (only 3 stations in Shropshire with 2 words).
It's Church as in a place of workship, also fills the STRetTON for the letter codes.

Church Stretton is correct, and in relation to the original clue it is an anagram of Trench Shortcut.

Thank you.

80s pop star can F-off in order to sing one of his songs

Edit - last 4 words (in italics) replace the word 'this'. Apologies, was thinking on-the-go which obviously is no strength of mine.

Fauldhouse ?? -- "fold house" -- maybe I erroneously have "fold" on the brain...
Fauldhouse it is, well done.

Clue 1: Shakin' Stevens and one of his hits 'This Old House'
Clue 2: Ikea - folding furniture/Scandinavian (obviously)
Clues 3&4: I think are self-explanatory

@Calthrop, your turn to pass through the Green Door.

Thanks -- but 1 and 2, conveyed nothing to me (am neither a pop fan nor a homemaker); subsequently, it was pretty much wild random guessing: I don't feel that I've earned a go, so open floor, please.

Location
Dorset
Would it perchance be Torquay?

(Theoretical) location of Fawlty Towers (where Mrs Richards complained of not having a sea-view).
You are correct it was Torquay - had other characters to use if it wasn't got!

The Watery Fowls floor is all yours

Poppleton ?? You're POPping the question; don't LET ON to your intended, about the careful consideration / misgivings perhaps, involved in your so doing...
