According to RTT, the sleepers no longer carry local passengers west of Plymouth. It says set down only going west, pick up only going east. Is this a recent change connected to Covid?

Started early last year due to legislation. Opening windows, short platforms and curved platforms meaning lack of staff supervision etc. OTT safety. Had to fit window locks. Belive there was also a journey a couple of minutes earlier/later under new timetable so duplicated.
Was talk of it going back to all stops this year.

I’ve read on another forum that last night’s 1C50 Paddington - Penzance sleeper was used this morning (Monday) as a commuter train in Cornwall, owing to the cancellation of the 06:18 Plymouth - Penzance and its return working at 08:50 as far as Plymouth. Departure time of the sleeper from Plymouth was 06:37 and arrival in Penzance was 7 early. We assume there were no safety issues and that passengers along the line were notified! I don't really understand why it was deemed unsafe to pick up passengers on a train with opening windows at curved platforms, but OK to set them down.

Last night (Sunday 20th) 1A50 Night Riviera left Penzance 135 late at 23.30 and was 15 early into Paddington at 04.48, the long stops at Exeter St. David's and Bristol TM being cut out. Reports elsewhere suggest this was operated by an IET, the sleeper stock having developed a fault. Would this be the first time a sleeper has been replaced by a day train? The sleeper stock ran up to Paddington as ecs during the afternoon/evening.
