Currently on Dawlish station,must be 30 staff on duty. Bit over the top I think.

Air show day. They only want people on the platforms that are actually waiting for trains. They don't want people watching the air show on the station.

Yep, airshow day. Currently sat on one of the additional trains: the 13:50 Newton Abbot - Exeter SD, a HST load 7 ;)

Air show been very good so far, just having a warm break from those winds. As the OP has pointed out, lot of FGW staff and barriers at Dawlish station, as well as the most comprehensive human announcer for the day! :P

Plenty of staff needed, once the airshow finishes everybody makes there way to the station at once and there's usually a lot of people there.
