DB Cargo UK rail recovery operator/team

Hello,

I'm trying to start my career in the railway and have been contacted about being interviewed for rail recovery operator. I wonder if anyone on here had any information on what the job is like and assessment days/interviews etc.

It sounds very interesting and I'm looking forward to learning more about it.

I've also applied for this role for Newport (South Wales) and got an interview next Thursday. I've been told by a friend who works at DB that the recovery team does what it says on tin. You go to incidents across the UK etc.

This I presume would be a team to attend re-railing (normally depots and yards) and other major incidents to recover failed vehicles?
