Azuma 800107 on 1E03 Stirling - KGX seems to be in trouble just north of Thirsk as we have just undertaken it on the up slow on 1E04.
Don't know if the problem is train or infrastructure related

"1E03 05:26 Stirling to London Kings Cross due 10:49 has been delayed between Darlington and York and is now 65 minutes late.

This is due to minor damage to the overhead electric wires"

Does the Yorkshire and Edinburgh Branchline not have reversible signalling?

The train was a bi-mode as well. Couldn’t it drop the pan?

Possibly but if line blockages were taken it would make no difference.
