Ok. The actual vans that formed the main part of the trains were basically BGs with roller shutter doors then, is that right?

Yeah, my recollections are growing hazy but I believe that the "Super BGs" with their roller shutter doors were the norm, particularly in TPO formations. There were also similarly converted "Super GUVs" for parcels traffic, recognisable with their shorter bodies and straight sides.
Ah yes the Super GUV. I just sold one of those on eBay (it wasn't full sized).

I've got an Intercity Swallow liveried Lima one that'll be going in the next couple of weeks.
Not up to the quality of the other model, but you could probably drop it down the stairs and not suffer any damage.

That's a good point, just a bog standard GUV in that case. Had a feeling that Bachmann hadn't modelled the "Super' variant but hadn't made the connection that they'd also be in RES livery by default!

I know I'm a bit late to this, but I didn't think it was worth starting another thread.
Anyways, do you know (out of 94410, 94427, 94450, and 94429) which 3 of these MK1 NBAs are the 3 visible from the WCML in the same line as the Propelling Control Vehicles?
