Believe it is mostly commercial.Isn't the 12 commercial then?

I think most of the 12e trips are tenders? So the evening and Sunday trips? Not sure what funding is used, the evening ones seem to be based around serving Fradley Park, and Sundays possibly with bsip money?Believe it is mostly commercial.
The 1 registration has appeared in bustimes.org now. Also listed as cancelled from the end of may is the 11, 125 and 129.Only info I can find is the 1 being cancelled from 24th May. I can't see anything relating to the 12/12E changing but the 805/806 school runs are moving operator and being renumbered 12A/12B.

How very odd, seeing as their contract for the 129 just got extended last month (how long for, though?):The 1 registration has appeared in bustimes.org now. Also listed as cancelled from the end of may is the 11, 125 and 129.
Diamond 129: Ashby de la Zouch – Loughborough
The service has been awarded a contract extension.
What I assume is the last round of the Leicestershire retendering. I would assume the extension was merely to get it to 1st June when the new service network would come in.How very odd, seeing as their contract for the 129 just got extended last month (how long for, though?):

I suppose it thus falls under the NW Leicestershire network review rather than the Charnwood oneWhat I assume is the last round of the Leicestershire retendering. I would assume the extension was merely to get it to 1st June when the new service network would come in.
Probably just a route renumbering to put it in another Leics group. How very odd, seeing as their contract for the 129 just got extended last month (how long for, though?):

It could be, 125 shows as cancelled too.Probably just a route renumbering to put it in another Leics group.
LCC have given early notice on and retendered almost all the supported services in the county so no reason not to assume that they haven't done so here or, given they were only recently extended, that the reported extension was only to get them to the planned date for the wider retendering of 1st June. The replacements for the 125 & 129 were in the last tender round mostly covering western Leicestershire, winning operators were probably informed this week but final details will remain to be sorted so details will appear in the next few weeks.Unless Diamond have decided to hand back the tenders for the 125/129 as the 125 in particular has a lot of dead running Burton to Coalville.
With a date of 17th May yet the registration has 24th and no mention of the 11.It could be, 125 shows as cancelled too.
Diamond website states that route 1 and 12E will not be operated by them from mid May, but by another operator. They refer people to the Staffordshire Council website for further details.
I did see a picture of one at the depot a couple of months back. Apparently the Scania's are for sale so can't be far off.I wonder when we will see those Custom Denning buses in service with Diamond Bus EM?
1 is going to be run by South Derbyshire CoachesApparently Diamond have lost tender for Routes 1, 12, 12E and South Staffs Coach Hire based in Tamworth have win the tenders.
from 18 May
- Diamond Bus service 1 (Burton - Tutbury) will be operated by South Derbyshire Coaches, with some timetable revisions.
- Service 12E (Burton - Lichfield) will be operated by LA Travel with a revised timetable.
How many are they now getting now. Article dated April 2025 on Staffordshire Council page suggests electric buses will now also be used on x12 and the 2, not just 8 and 9 as originally planned.I wonder when we will see those Custom Denning buses in service with Diamond Bus EM?
The first four (one for Tividale (WM), three for Stanwell (SE)) had to go through Individual Vehicle Approval and may still be waiting on DVLA registration. Burton's batch will be subject to the same process so it may be a while.I wonder when we will see those Custom Denning buses in service with Diamond Bus EM?
6 through the original ZEBRA 2 tranche, 8 through the top-up. So 14 in all (or 15, depending on who the ninth Staffordshire top-up bus is for). How many are they now getting now.
Someone's comment on a post by Arriva Midlands on Facebook suggests that Arriva are taking over the 7 (Stagecoach) and the 125 and 129 from the 30th of May. Don't know how true it is as I've yet to see any new service registrations on Bustimes, but best keep my eyes peeled! The 1 registration has appeared in bustimes.org now. Also listed as cancelled from the end of may is the 11, 125 and 129.
I've seen it and would take the comments with a pinch of salt...Someone's comment on a post by Arriva Midlands on Facebook suggests that Arriva are taking over the 7 (Stagecoach) and the 125 and 129 from the 30th of May. To be honest, I've been hearing quite a few rumours lately about bus service changes in the area, some of which I've yet to turn up any more evidence beyond the initial comment that I found them in!I've seen it and would take the comments with a pinch of salt...
I just visited the Sustainable Travel Roadshow in Loughborough and they confirmed that Arriva will be taking over the 129.The 1 registration has appeared in bustimes.org now. Also listed as cancelled from the end of may is the 11, 125 and 129.
As a way of update. We have 3 of the Custom Denning Buses now registered in Burton.
Once they have been inspected - they will be entering service.
