Did any trains use the deepcar branch today?

My mother says and i quote, 'i saw a purple and yellow train at wadsley bridge today'
I took it to be a ews liveried 66. But my brother knows what they look like and says it wasn't EWS, so i was wondering what was it?

The steel train didn't run at its normal time on Monday, but don't know any more than that.

My bro saw a purple train with wagons 4 times. Thats what he said, twice each way up the line.... im rather confused as he refuses to say it was an EWS liveried engine.
