Recently a new simulator called Diesel Railcar Simulator was released and is 'A train driving simulation set in the British railways of the late 1960's, modelling the passenger diesel multiple units, or 'railcars', of the era.' as suggested by the title. I have picked it up myself at about £13.50 (once VAT is added and the currency has been converted) and I must say that it is a very good sim. Graphics are a bit basic but this doesn't affect the overall driving experience and the developer has plans for future versions/updates as well as taking feedback on possible features to implement. Well worth a try and at about £13.50 is a total bargain!
