Some updates required to TPEs list

Newcastle guards no longer sign west of Leeds and they also now only sign Class 802s.

Liverpool guards no longer have booked work East of Leeds.

All York guards sign 802s now.

Yes they do have TMs and caterers there

We are missing this - any idea of route knowledge?

Just an update about TPE at Lime street.

Liverpool Lime Street:
Traction: 185, 802

Liverpool L St-Manchester Vic via Newton-le-Willows
Edge Hill-Manchester Airport via Warrington Central
Manchester Picc-Leeds via Marsden and Dewsbury
Huddersfield-Leeds via Wakefield Kirkgate
Brighouse-Huddersfield
Miles Platting-Heaton Lodge via Hebden Bridge
Salford Central-Water Street Jn (Ordsall Chord)

The route card has been decimated over recent years but that is what absolutely everyone signs.

There are also a number of extras that some sign and some don't. They are:

Leeds-York via micklefield or Castleford.(no booked work as of Dec23)
Salford Crescent-Manchester Victoria (direct)
Salford Crescent-Deansgate
York-Newcastle via KEB and HLB (crew in the single digits still sign it.)

Over 150 miles lost in the name of efficiency.

Some updates required to TPEs list

Newcastle guards no longer sign west of Leeds and they also now only sign Class 802s.

Liverpool guards no longer have booked work East of Leeds.

All York guards sign 802s now.

Will add these both shortly.

Is it possible for someome to add the NIR information i posted in post #202 earlier:

I just noticed it had not been added yet so just thought that i would point this out.

Also i spoke to a guard on Eurostar the other week and found out this regarding which routes the guards at each depot signs:

Amsterdam:
• 374
• Brussels to Amsterdam

Brussels:
• 373 374
• London to Brussels
• London to Paris

Lille:
• 373 374
• London to Brussels
• London to Paris

London:
• 373 374
• London to Brussels
• London to Paris

Paris:
• 373 374
• London to Brussels
• London to Paris

All of the guards at all of the depots have the "Train Manager" title.

It is worth pointing out that the route knowledge in Mainland Europe works very differently to the UK and the guards do not have to sign routes in Belgium and France in the same way that they do in the UK.

Also note this information is for Eurostar guards who work traditional Eurostar trains only. The depots in Mainland Europe also have Thalys guards which are now Eurostar trains. However the Thalys guards are seperate and do not work the traditional Eurostar services and the person i spoke to was not sure on what they sign. So this information is only for traditional Eurostar trains. Although i was told that Eurostar are looking at integrating it at some point in the future so both traditional Eurostar services and ex Thalys services can be worked by the same guards.

Also for Chiltern Railways you can remove West Ealing from Banbury depot as they no longer sign this.

One other thing is that the Grand Central based guards at Bradford depot sign the 221s now as well.
