Hello,

according to the May-December 2019 WTT the following services stop to set down/detach at Basingstoke:

2T13
5B17
2T45

On the other hand i couldn't find a train stopping to take up/attach.

I also couldn't find services starting at Basingstoke that could be formed out of the splitted sections mentioned above.

Does anyone have an idea what is happening with the section that got splitted at Basingstoke?

Greetings from Germany

Adrian

Looking forward to later this year (which may be similar)
2T13 0642 London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour loses coaches at Basingstoke platform 1. They run on to Basingstoke Down Yard and come back out for 2L24 0820 Basingstoke to London Waterloo
2T45 1512 London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour loses coaches at Basingstoke platform 1. They run back to Basingstoke Dn E End Sdg and come back out for 2B93 1724 Basingstoke to Southampton Central

Not sure about 5B17, as that isn't in the current WTT, maybe this also went back as Basingstoke to London Waterloo service.

From a friend of mine:

5B17 splits at BSNGSTK

(4x450) continues to SOTON
(8x450) splits to form 2L26 (BSNGSTK to WAT)
Looking at RTT (for a date when the WTT is showing!) that split no longer applies as 2L26 (0853 ex Basing) is formed off 5L26 from Waterloo plus the stock of the 0712 ex Waterloo.
@Adrian - Willkommen/welcome! If you haven't discovered it, RealTimeTrains is a wonderful resource.

Not quite, 5L26 is a 12 car forms 2L26, 0712 stock joins stock off 0742 from Waterloo in the down yard to form 2L28

Yeah i know, but I haven't figured out yet, how to get the information I've asked for at realtimetrains. Especially how to search in 2019...

Anyway thanks once again!

Hello,

it's me again.

One more question regarding trains starting in Basingstoke (still talking about the WTT 05/2019-12/2019):

2L14
2L18
2L90
2L22

start in Basingstoke.

What is their origin? I haven't found any ECS Movings from the Yards/Sidings and also no trains that loose coaches.

Thanks again :)

Was the stock for 2L90 in May 2019 the 12.450 set that moves overnight from Barton Mill sidings?

At that time Barton Mill was the only berthing location of the four in use (Around Basingstoke) that had the full cleaning and servicing facilities. I believe from previous discussions the down Yard was suppposed to be getting CET equipment?

Hi Dibbo4025,

thanks for your fast reply!

Can you explain to me how I can find the data? Looking at RTT I'm not able to see data of 2019. And the WTT also doesn't show it. :(
Might be easier so I don't have to ask all the time, nevertheless I'm very grateful that here's a place to ask.

Hope you can give me a brief explanation. :)

Greetings
Adrian

currently no sign of any changes at Basingstoke Down Yard other than a previously mentioned weed clear / strim and clean up.

It's in the carriage working notices for the timetable period. The groups.io group ukmodernemu has a lot of these for various TOCs and periods, mainly based around emus.
