Hi,
Hoping to see come through hertford on Saturday morning:

https://www.steamdreams.co.uk/tours.php?tourid=72127

Will it appear in the national rail app? If not is there any other way to track it from kgx?
They do not appear in the national rail app.
Real Time Trains is a good resource - here is the schedule of the outbound service:
1Z60 0838 Kings Cross - Norwich. https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U54560/2019/08/31/advanced

Inbound:
1Z64 1615 Lowestoft - Kings Cross. https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U54562/2019/08/31/advanced

Specials run by a TOC will appear in the national rail app, specials run by private charters (as in your case), needing special tickets however won’t.
Would that be the case for 'Unadvertised Express / Passenger' services run by a TOC?
Is my understanding correct that it would only show on the app, if the TOC wished it?
I'm thinking of specials like the SouthEastern 'passendale' in November...

No just advertised specials, usually things like TOC footexes. There’s detail you put in the train header to show the trains category and advertised/unadvertised etc.

Yes - so we would need to see the schedule before saying if it will appear in the app or not.
