I have applied for a shunter driver role and I am suppose to do a MiniSCAAT test today. However I haven’t been able to practice or book the tome of for the exam and I was told on Friday evening just gone. I’m also unable to obtain the information I need on weather if I fail the test for this role, if it counts as a strike for a future train driver role. I have the same question of missing the test or withdrawing counts as a strike as well?

I would say your best bet is to get in touch with whoever contacted you about this.

There is a wealth of advice on this forum, but given the pressing time frame, the definitive answer will come from the company concerned.

Thank you for replying! I have been emailing and calling around since 9am this morning. My cut of time is 5pm today and that’s to complete it and I still none the wiser than I was this morning I’m afraid. I do appreciate your time.

If it’s a mini SCAAT with your application it won’t count as any strikes your ok if you were doing it in an assessment centre then it would if that makes sense

If you miss the test then you’ve just missed it it wouldn’t count as a life you may have to wait 6 months to apply again though
