Does anyone remember this film?

I have been pestered for years by a snatch of an old b+w US film where an old lady had a magnificent Lionel trainset on her living room floor. There was some sort of family crisis (of course) and she was expecting 'the boys' home for Christmas, eaxch of whom is represented by a train racing around the floor..We see one of the boys dallying instead of rushing home and his train derails and the old bird points with her stick and says 'That's So-and-So' but he'll be here." At which point I was hooked and the rest of the family voted to change channels . Does anyone recognise the film?
