Hmmmmmmmm. Last time I was at Donny, the train I was getting on had no seat reservations due to some fool forgetting to print them out or something, so I asked a platform attendant what I was expected to do in order that I could be sure of a seat. He had no idea that there were no reservations, despite it being broadcast over the tannoy a moment earlier.

We've also been informed for the past 10 years or so that in 2001 we would have a shiny new interchange... the *first* phase opens in a fortnight.

They always annonce what platform freight is coming!

' Can passengers on platform four please stand clear from the platform edge there is a freight train approching'

they even say if it is light it will say there is a Light engine approching!

Well next time if i go to England must visit Doncaster Station and have a look.

If you want a good impression of England, I wouldn't reccomend it...

Well parts of Cantley are rubbish as well, round the Everingham Road area. Hence people call this area Bessacarr (not WBes) to keep some distance from "Cantley".

Balby, well, best not even go there....

The depot, that was a poor convoy you often get up to 5 60's and ocassionaly 6 or seven locos in a convoy through Doncaster.

If you want to come to Doncaster, I've heard that Thorne Road / Rutland Street / Christchurch Road are popular destinations for visitors... :D

There is now a TOPS list available detailing when every freight train passes Donny (and Barnetby). Now I see how Freightmaster gets the info!

Where did you think FM got the info?
