Yesterday I went over the branch from Wellington to the terminal. It had looked very overgrown in recent times but it looks like there has been a very comprehensive cut back and weedkill. I was driving so no photograph.

Can anyone tell me exactly what is happening at the terminal? Who is doing what with what stock and why? There seem to have been WMR and TFW trains there lately.

Thank you.

Could you please edit the title to read Telford. Thanks. The site is being use by both TFW and WMR to assist in the transit of the new CAF 196 and 197 trains there. They are brought in by road and formed up to be transported away by Rail. It is also being used to store WMR 196s until they are ready to receive them at Tyseley for testing and training

Thank you for the reply and sorry about the missing 'f'! I could even get two 'f's into Caerphilly if I go to the Welsh spelling. :)

I wonder if anyone can tell us who is being paid to do the work, if effect who is managing the site I suppose.

To be really pedantic, from a railway point of view, the sidings in question
are actually known as Donnington Railfreight Terminal rather than Telford
Railfreight Park, which the site as a whole is referred to!
