I see the work at Dunbar on the new platform is going well with the skeleton of both lift shafts in place, I’m aware some repositioning of the OHL will need to be done but what exactly needs to be done?

The new platform is now in use following the timetable change. Video from Network Rail of an Azuma arriving:
Hello @LNER! Great to see an #Azuma calling at #Dunbar's brand new Platform 2 yesterday morning. We've constructed this to increase capacity and improve operational flexibility on the busy East Coast Main Line. #ECML https://t.co/0NhJwgz8PP

Couldn't find another thread and didn't think this post warranted a thread of its own.

So are there 3 lines through Dunbar ? The video seems to show three.
What is the middle line used for ? Non-stop London bound trains, or is it bi-directional ?

The line the Azuma is on is the Northbound/Down main line and the middle line is the Southbound/Up main line.

The third line is a loop that serves the older platform that terminating trains use and Southbound trains call at. Southbound services running non-stop will usually use the middle line.

This image shows all 3 lines. The train is heading South through the loop: https://flic.kr/p/jpL7AS

Just to add to the description provided above by @ScottDarg, here is a diagram showing the track layout.

I remember going through Dunbar when it still had the original down loop platform, I’m thinking late 60s maybe?

By the time of ECML electrification, the track had been long gone, but I think the platform itself was still there in a fairly derelict condition.
