Just wondering if there are any DSM’s that could share experiences with me?

I had an interview a week or so ago (I think it went well) for a DSM role at a large Flagship station.

Am I bonkers being really excited about the prospect of joining the rail industry (I work in the transport industry already, but not rail) or is it an enjoyable role?

Assuming from your terminology it’s SWR; I have a friend who is a DSM at a large station and he enjoys it, however it’s more of a stepping stone a lot of the time for promotion. The salary isn’t great for the spurt of job role in my opinion (£30k ish) when you factor in what salaries other roles within the industry attract. Good luck!
