Can DVTs only work with Locos which have Time Division Multiplexing??
Indeed, the 823xx series DVTs, both the Chiltern and the new ATW examples, are the only DVTs fitted with the AAR multiple working system for working in push-pull mode with 67s as stated above. Time-division multiplex system is the order of the day for the mark 3 82/1 and mark 4 82/2 DVTs.the ones that Wrexham & Shropshire (and now Chiltern) use, numbered 823xx, are fitted for working with class 67s, I believe.

There's one that DBS have as well (in fact, that was the first) used on the "management train" and also for RHTT!
Presumably the 823xx ones would also be compatible with Class 59 and 66- and maybe 70? Obviously for passenger services those classes lack ETS.

Well the 823xx DVTs also have ETS generators (do all of them have them?), so they could potentially be hauled by anything with a set of AAR jumpers.
The 67+DVT combinations used for leaf blowing – are those separate to Chiltern's?
Surely it would have been a good idea if the ATW DVTs had been done to the exact same spec as the Chiltern ones- and the carriages, for that matter, too? Could even have gone for the same livery with ATW coloured vinyl stripes in place of the Chiltern ones...
