G'day

Perhaps someone here can help me.
Is a Cheshunt-Norwich 7 day season (Route NOT LONDON) valid via Stratford or is Stratford considered London?

Cheers

From a ticketing point of view, I believe Route: Not London means the London terminals plus a few others like City Thameslink.

I will check.

I have checked, according to the Routing Guide, these stations form the London Group;

Code:
KINGS CROSS THAMESLINK
BETHNAL GREEN
CITY THAMESLINK
BLACKFRIARS
LONDON BRIDGE
CANNON STREET
CHARING CROSS
EUSTON
FENCHURCH STREET
KINGS CROSS
LIVERPOOL STREET
MARYLEBONE
PADDINGTON
ST PANCRAS
VICTORIA
WATERLOO
WATERLOO EAST
MOORGATE UNDERGROUND
OLD STREET UNDERGROUND
But I am fairly sure there is another list so I may have gotten myself all confused!

Straford London is not "LONDON" for routeing purposes, so that is valid.

London routeing group is the same as London Terminals with the exception that Vauxhall is not a member of the routeing group.

City Thameslink is a member of London Terminals (however London Terminals tickets from the North are not valid there - though the barriers will accept them; see other threads for this particular issue)

Thanks for that.

The reason I asked is that on my next trip up to the UK, I need to work in the Stratford area for 4 days from about 08:00 till 13:00, so my afternoons are free.

As I will be based in Elsenham, the Cheshunt-Norwich 7DS is only about £11 more than an Elsenham-Stratford 7DS, as the Cheshunt-Norwich ticket is also valid via Cambridge then it opens up possibilities for visiting quite a few places in East Anglia for little additional cost.

Sorry, no.

Norwich is a Routeing Point (RP).
RPs for Cheshunt are Stansted Group and Tottenham Hale Group.
We need to perform a fares check to determine the appropriate RP for a Cheshunt-Norwich journey.
Comparing single fares:
Cheshunt - Norwich route Not via London SOS £31.00
Stansted M'fitchet - Norwich route Not via London SOS £25.10. Therefore Stansted Group is an appropriate RP for this journey.
Tottenham Hale - Norwich route Not via London SOS £48.60. Therefore Tottenham Hale Group is not an appropriate RP for this journey.
Permitted routes Stansted Group - Norwich are shown on map CN and map EA. These allow travel via Cambridge only.
