Anyone on here who works for LNER know when compulsory wearing of masks might be ended. Cannot see anything on the Gov site about trimescales

We will not know what the situation regarding mandatory facecoverings on public transport will be until the government decides what restrictions will be lifted on 21st June.
They can’t do that as the law on face coverings is not covered by the by-lawsI wonder whether LNER will try and enforce compulsory face coverings for employees even after they are no longer mandatory for passengers.
No doubt there are a few mask zealots at LNER who will try and do this.
The tocs already do insist on staff wearing them I believe. They can’t do that as the law on face coverings is not covered by the by-laws
They can ask staff but not passengers if it is not lawThe tocs already do insist on staff wearing them I believe.
Apologies, yes you are correct. The poster above , actually said that they wonder if they will still make employees wear them , when customers no longer have to and that's what you replied to.
Personally on public transport I am not expecting face coverings to end until next Spring. I suspect it will be one of the last restrictions to go.
As I have said before I expect a drop in compliance come June 21st……I would suspect that compliance and enforcement will end long before next Spring, especially if cases remain low over the winter.
