A train to Long Eaton to get the same bus would be cheaper and quicker, but only runs once every hour.

Where are you coming from? Skylink from Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Leicester or Loughborough provides a good speed/price balance for most people.

East Midlands Parkway gets a bus service from Monday 4th August. The 865 operated by Littles on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council will link the station to Clifton, Kegworth & Normanton on Soar and surrounding villages 5 times a day. You could technically connect into Skylink for the airport at Kegworth.
