Those achievements being what exactly?
The continued lack of capacity?
The significant deterioration of the internal condition of the internal state of the mainline fleet compared to the beginning of the franchise?
The ongoing staff shortages leading to regular ticket office closures?
The ongoing industrial action that stagecoach have made next to no attempts at resolving?
The advanced fares that are consistently significantly higher than similar length journeys on other intercity operators?
The gradual extension of journey times on the mainline in order to give commuter trains greater and greater priority?
The service was also as a thank you to the staff for there work that they put in for the last 11 years.

To answer some of your questions:
Achievements: Nottingham and Derby remodelling, opening of Corby, Speedup of mainline service, Sunday service improvements across most routes.
Lack of capacity: EMT inherited not a brilliant fleet on the local side and has been stuck with it since. I know what it is like haveing to put up with a single 153 to an from work. It doesn't help that a 158 and a 156 are currently away for PRM mods which reduces the size. I can't say much about the mainline fleet but it does need more than 5 coaches on most services.
Mainline fleet: HST's have had a refresh in the last few years. I agree that some of the 222s are looking a bit worn on the inside.
Mainline timetable: Thats more down to the dft than EMT. The gradual extension from the first post TL timetable may be to allow for more reliable services. I noticed a lot of northbound Sheffields were running a couple of minutes late on most days.

156401 and 497 now have EMR regional branding

The penultimate 158 is now in Bristol leaving just one more (though 889 requires further work) and there are only a handful of 156s left (2 or 3) so hopefully that will improve shortly.

Others have pointed out the lack of capacity is down to DfT with the original franchise plus two Direct Awards which automatically limit investment. They have still picked up some Northern 156s, GWR 153s and Grand Central HSTs but it's not enough.

The internal condition is again that a fleet refurbishment is overdue - if the franchise had been let again in 2015 as it should have been then we'd have seen whoever was operating it make some investment.

I can't comment on staff shortages but others have indicated in other threads recruitment continues.

The industrial action that started in July? The origins of which seem to be lost in the midsts of time? That Stagecoach can't resolve because they are not allowed to tie the hands of their successor? And which some have said is being done just to get RMT to the table early doors with Abellio over "historic" grievances?

Higher Advance fares would suggest that EMT has been filling seats so doesn't need to sell them as cheap as other operators. Supply and demand - sorry you can't get a £5 single from London to Sheffield.

The longer journey times is most definitely DfT where Thameslink trumps all. Combined with the historic decision to only give the Midland Mainline four platforms at St Pancras and the best the route will get is six trains an hour into London, two of which will be Corby outer-suburbans.

This was a thank you to the staff of EMT for eleven years. Stagecoach did similar on SWT (albeit for 21 years), some of it not so public facing. Given Stagecoach is effectively leaving UK rail this coming weekend (they are the minority shareholder in Virgin Rail Group, which is more a Stagecoach investment than operation) I actually think the fact EMT has been allowed to spend money on these celebratory/thank you events is quite a dignified way to leave. Unlike some owning groups who have literally thrown the keys in when they have lost a franchise.

I don't know whether it's been mentioned, but I believe that debranded 43480 has become the first HST power car to gain large "E M R" insignia on the bodysides.

The Robin Hood line trains have EMR regional stickers on the side - sadly they have just rubbed the dirt off and applied the sticker rather then cleaning the whole train which is a bit of shame. They are also running an hourly service from Nottingham to Worksop tomorrow (sunday) for the first time in many years.

Same applies to the Class 222 fleet, all they have done for some unknown reason is deep clean the area around where the new EMR logo will go and left the rest of the vehicle caked in dirt so it's obvious to all.

Leicester has received large EMR branded advertisements on the main footbridge, including "passenger price promise". Ticket machines have been rebranded including EMR smart card information. New timetables have been stocked, and information posters have been replaced.

When I went to St Pancras on Monday, I saw 222012, and the whole train looked pretty clean, not going to lie, and it looked the same colour (white) as the train

Thank you for the update. 43480 actually looks good with EMR now on the side. I will update the list later on today or tomorrow.

East Mids Trains ex GC HST set power car 43465 I saw yesterday with new EMR branding on the blue power car bodysides.

I forgot to look to see if the coaches were re-branded too, but I suspect they probably were.

Saw 222012 as EMR Intercity. Currently on a 222 and the trolley menu is EMR branded. Kidsgrove station has the EMR network map now on display.

I'm sure I've seen the 222 in total livery is Monday
It looks right as by the looks of thinks there is a press trip tomorrow.
ECS from Etches Part at 11ish (5Z06)
Couple's to 1M06 to form 5B41
Shunts up to Chad at 1104 for the matlock service
Comes back after the matlock has gone for a 1Z22 at 1122 to Nottingham (Press trip?)
Then
1B41 1212 Nottingham to St Pancras
1M32 1447 St Pancras to Corby (rear set detaches at Kettering and goes back to Derby as 5Z32)
If its the front set:
1P33 1639 Corby to St Pancras
1F65 1901 St Pancras to Sheffield
1C89 2201 Sheffield to Derby
