When EMT have their Class 153 units as single units booked for and what days? As it always keeps changing a lot

I don't know the specific diagrams, but they're always subject to change anyway.

The most common places you'll find them are;

Crewe to Derby
Newark Northgate to Grimsby via Lincoln
Peterborough to Doncaster via Lincoln

With the refurbishment program, you may find them swapped out for 156/158 and vice versa.

Sometimes on the Matlock to Nottingham route, On some saturdays when I went on that line there was 2 Class 153 as a 1 carriage and 1 2 carriage Class 156 unit operating and there was no Class 158 on saturday on Matlock to Nottingham route

they can appear on any EMT connect routes.

One to note is:
The 15:10 Peterborough - Lincoln, joins to another unit at sleaford - that works in on the 15:12 Lincoln - Sleaford, then both units couple up and work the 16:14 Sleaford - Lincoln. Then on arrival at Lincoln they form the 17:28 to Leicester.

I like those units, I hope that they'll be back on the Matlock to Nottingham route after refurbishment is completed apart from School holidays

Speaking of refurbishment on 153/156 units, which units have been refurbished, which ones are next to be refurbished and when will it be completed?

Although I cant give specific answers, I would say that Most of them have been refurbed as its becoming increasingly rare to see one thats not been done.

I would say something like
4 EX Northern 156's (I have a thread about these)
2-4 EMT 156's
Maybe 2 153's?

However this is quite a lot of me guessing 'I haven't seen on undone one for a while'

There are still quite a few un-refurbished units around. These seem to be mainly ex-Central Trains 153s and a few 156s.

My favourite un refurbished unit is 153313 (Ex First North Western):D, I think that unit is more suited to Nottingham to Matlock route

Sounds like the more usual diagrams have returned as a result of the cascade. I'd expect that 158s over the Matlock branch will once again become something of a rarity.

I expect there'll be one or two a day still - I believe (one of?) the 158(s?) which spent the previous night in Norwich ends up in Nottingham, then later works a peak Derby - Crewe service. I image it must work a Nottingham - Matlock in order to get to Derby?

I was told that this is formed of the (1352) 158 currently terminating at Nottingham that will run through to Norwich once all the 156s are available. I'm not sure what will end up covering it instead since the 158 will now run through, unless it becomes a 156 duty.

I know the one 153 diagram on the Sunday and that is 09:18 Derby to Nottingham as I everytime I go on the that service it is always a 153 but they have only changed the unit about 5 times

Assumedly, the front half will continue to Norwich, and the rear half will run to Derby?

Not all Liverpool - Norwich trains will be 4-cars between Liverpool and Nottingham. EMT are only receiving 4 units you know!
I don't think the 13:52 Liverpool - Norwich is booked to be strengthened actually. The 16:50 Nottingham - Derby service will be formed off an earlier detachment if I remember correctly...

How do you mean by that?

There's already a couple of units out to strengthen Nottingham - Liverpool - surely another 4 must cover the remainder?

Currently 153321 & 156414 are at Neville Hill for refurbishment, with the following still to be done:

153310
153313
153379
153384
153376
156470*
156473*
156497
156498

* arriving with EMT Sunday 13-11-11

Not quite because 4 units don't necessarily equate to 4 extra diagrams! With increased ratios of maintenance on a larger fleet only 3 extra diagrams will be created so there will be a couple of unstrengthened services still.

At present it is 156414 and 153326 in Neville Hill, 153326 is having its seats refitted as they have just come back from having the EMT seat covers fitting. I saw both units in NL yesterday. So units still to be refurbished:

153321
153379
153384
153376
