The smaller ferries in Brisbane are 1 person operated- they even have instructions on a panel behind the Skip telling passengers how to shut off power and contact control if they become incapacitated. Given this is fast flowing and tidal river I find this a very odd way of operating. These smaller ferries are used mostly to get across the Brisbane river from Kangaroo point to the CBD- where there are few usable pedestrian bridges.
