Wouldn't have thought so. Whilst I'd guess they have to open up, there's not really any routes that IE don't serve- in the republic, the network is essentially radial from Dublin. There's not scope for connecting places that aren't connected to one another really- even with the "Western Rail Corridor" project, I'd reckon the idea of having a service start at one of the intermediate points and run to Ireland is unlikely to be financially viable
