A bit of a struggle to find enough VEP's for todays services.
There are currently 20 booked diagrams for 25 VEP's after 3498 demise
today.
Of the 25 units, 2 are currently stopped at Ramsgate, on exam but
expected to be ready for the morning services, 1 is currently stopped
at Ramsgate waiting for the day turn fitters to repair the windows
that were broked by the youths of Faversham who seem to have nothing
better to do, and 1 is currently stopped at Ashford for the same
thing. Together with the 3 units covering for the shortage of 465/9
units, that leaves a grand total of -2 units, or correct stock IF
Ramsgate release the 2 exam units.
3590 was 'Q' tripped to Ashford from Tonbridge at 01+00 this morning
and will RM415 diagram today.

The next units to be withdrawn will be
3498 on 12/08/05 (already stopped at Ramsgate as out of miles)
3495 on 12/08/05
3579 on 12/08/05
3416 on 19/08/05
3445 on 19/08/05
3548 on 19/08/05
We haven't had next weeks ACWN yet, but I'm guessing that there will
be a matched reduction in 400 diagrams as the 465/9 units are brought
into traffic from Monday. This will proberly see the number of booked
diagrams drop to 17 or 18. I will post more when known.

The biggest shock of the night was finding that Gillingham had a
spare 508 unit which will be 'Q' tripped to Tonbridge as 5T12 at
10+44 today to cover GI399 diagram. I really didn't see that
happening until the 508 that hit the tree at Chiddingstone last month
returned to service! 508208 pencilled in for the move.

Other S.E.T. allocations for today to follow if time permits.
