Any idea how you can recognise those?Navigo Easy cards can be issued from select ticket machines.

It's usually only those at airports/railway stations' metro/RER stations, and they'll have huge pink/red sticker + ads about Navigo Easy on idle screen, or sign aside from them saying they sell Navigo Easy cardAny idea how you can recognise those?

Thanks, that's indeed very clear. They're well labelled:
It works on my Fairphone 3. Just try it; IIRC the app tests your phone before you can buy tickets.Good news about compatibility finally reaching iPhones. I just wish it would work on more Android phones, not just Samsungs!
Maybe I was being dense at the time but I can’t recall seeing any of those at Gare du Nord metro entrance which seems crazy, does anyone know otherwise? They're well labelled:

Not my Pixel 4a. But that is useful to know for my partner who has a Fairphone 3!Thanks, that's indeed very clear.

From recollection there definitely is one there (or at least used to be), though I think it's separate from all of the standard machines which are in a line with (usually) a large queue in front of them, it's elsewhere in the entrance area. I'll be there in a week's time hoping to buy one so I can report back...Maybe I was being dense at the time but I can’t recall seeing any of those at Gare du Nord metro entrance which seems crazy, does anyone know otherwise?
There were at least two when I went last summer. However both had no passes in stock.Maybe I was being dense at the time but I can’t recall seeing any of those at Gare du Nord metro entrance which seems crazy, does anyone know otherwise?
For what it's worth, yes, there were several dotted around the Gare du Nord metro station. But on this occasion they were all sold out of Navigo Easy passes, so for me paper tickets live on a little longer! From recollection there definitely is one there (or at least used to be), though I think it's separate from all of the standard machines which are in a line with (usually) a large queue in front of them, it's elsewhere in the entrance area. It's just a paper texture (was probably cheaper), they very solid (mine (older format) has 10+ years now and still rocks)wasn't expecting the Navigo pass to indeed feel like it's made out of paper
They also supply a robust plastic holder for it don't they? It's just a paper texture (was probably cheaper), they very solid (mine (older format) has 10+ years now and still rocks)
I'm pretty sure you can just ask any staffed station for a plastic holder since the Easy card is the same format as the other onesI think you may be mixing and matching between the Navigo Decouverte card which has been around for ages, comes with a photocard and a plastic holder, and the the Navigo Easy which is rather more recent and less robust, and is just the card.
You can' we have a few people at work who visit Paris regularly on business who have an Easy in a plastic holder.I'm pretty sure you can just ask any staffed station for a plastic holder since the Easy card is the same format as the other ones

You can if they have them in stock, but they're not given as a default.I'm pretty sure you can just ask any staffed station for a plastic holder since the Easy card is the same format as the other ones

Yesterday I used the app to buy a 'Paris 2024 Pass 1 Day' ticket (Zones 1-5 for 16 EUR), the special ticket available in the period between the start of the Olympics and the end of the Paralympics. Unfortunately I had an issue with the purchased pass not appearing in the app so I had to buy a second one and move it immediately to my Apple Wallet. Fortunately though, the app has a 'Contact us' facility in English so I raised a complaint and within an hour I received a refund with no arguments so maybe it happens frequently. Anyway my advice would be to move it immediately to Apple Wallet after purchase. The IDM Mobilites app has had a further update (on iOS at least) and you can now buy t+ and carnet tickets directly within the app, rather than just through the Apple Wallet.
I bought a hard plastic Navigo Easy in February at Gare du Nord from a ticket machine, so not even that long ago.
What is the mark-up on those for curiosity?Discovered today that Eurostar are now selling Navigo Easy cards at the cafe-bar instead of carnets. The attendant launched straight into a script about how they are similar to Oyster cards, how to top them up etc, and he was keen to top it up with two singles to it to start with - he was certainly well trained. Perhaps all prompted by the Olympics. Either way the end of the line is looking closer and closer!
My example isn't the best because I paid in £ and didn't enquire further about prices, others may know better. I paid £7.90 (~€9.30) for a card with two singles which would usually cost €6.30 (~£5.40). Not sure where the markup is applied there - they could be selling the cards for €5 instead of €2, or the singles could be more expensive too. What is the mark-up on those for curiosity?
