OK - Mordac has posted this to the electrification sticky but of course contains much more than electrification and I thought it worthy of its own thread. To me - On Man Vic - Stalybridge electrification it actually uses the phrase "Manchester Victoria to the Miles Platting area". I though this was worrying. On page 11 it even gives a footnote - "Extent of electrification to be determined"



Not had chance to read the whole document just yet.

Electrification to Stalybridge has for now been placed on hold due to no funds available and to enable NR to speed up other projects in the meantime.
