he forgets to get permission of the University where he proposed picking and dropping off people. Hopefully if he proposes running a bus company when he finishes he doesn't forgot to ask permission where it may be required.

An entrepreneurial student hired buses to take almost 600 students to Parklife - only for his university to ban them from picking up on their land.

Fourth year student Jonny Hauser organised 10 buses to collect 597 University of Manchester students and drive them to and from the festival.

They were due to be picked up from the university’s Armitage Sport Centre on the coaches, which were dubbed the Lady Buses.

But university bosses told the chemical engineering student he would have cancel the transport because the buses would wake up residents on Moseley Road - and they were also concerned over safety and security.

Jonny, 22, who lives in Withington, said: “They told me they couldn’t have people arriving at 12.30am because it would be too noisy.

“That was mental because the other option is for students to walk from Heaton Park and they’ll make more noise walking than getting off a bus.”

Jonny refused to cancel the buses - and instead they will pick up and drop off the students from different locations.

He explained that university officials told him he had not filed a risk assessment for the venture or sought permission to use the university’s car park.

Use the loop around Salford Crescent that commercial buses stopped using, could easily accommodate 10 parked up.
