Empty passenger train derailment between Arbroath and Aberdeen

Route Affected: Aberdeen-Arbroath-Edinburgh-London Kings Cross; also Aberdeen-Arbroath-Edinburgh/Glasgow Central-Birmingham New Street-Penzance/Bournemouth; also Edinburgh/Glasgow Queen StreetDundeeArbroathDyce
TOC/s Affected: First ScotRail, GNER, Virgin Trains
Description: Train services between Arbroath and Aberdeen are being disrupted due to a derailed empty passenger train in the Arbroath area
Train services are at a stand in the area and replacement road transport is in operation between Dundee and Aberdeen in both directions
There are no reports of any injuries to the train crew
There is currently no estimated time for a normal train service to resume.
