Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn says that he has tabled a motion of no confidence in the government.

Leader of the Opposition Jeremy Corbyn says that the result of tonight's vote is the largest defeat for a government since the 1920s.

After two years of negotiations, this verdict is "absolutely decisive". He says the PM is only trying to reach out now "after it has been so roundly rejected by Parliament".

"No deal must be taken off the table, a permanent customs union must be secured, and people's rights and protections must be guaranteed," he says, adding that the PM has "closed the door on dialogue".

"In the last two years, she's had only one priority, the Conservative Party," he states.

GRAYLING: Oh.
STARMER: This is the bit where we call for the confidence vote we can't win isn't?

That seems to be about the only thing there is a majority view on and that is against it!

No deal would be a disaster. Tell us how it would be better in your opinion considering everyone has said it would pretty much destroy the UK. (excluding jrm who is no doubt got a lot of money riding on the point tanking tomorrow and bettingagain st the country - he still has the lies printed and retracted by the sun up on his Twitter account)

I'm afraid you're asking the wrong person that question. Not a clue

Never seen any facts to back up a disaster, it's all project fear. I did post some time ago the food goods that would be cheaper. Also as part of the south west Durham area we may get more assistance as we are not designated a ex coal area under the EU grants system. place like Seaham got huge grants from the EU.

And now that that triviality is over and done with, the Commons can get on with the adjournment debate on train services at Chester-le-Street railway station. You're all watching, aren't you? ;)

But I also doubt that Corbyn will win any General Election, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Agreed, Jeremy Corbyn and Theresa May are both becoming increasingly unpopular, I still believe that the UK will eventually find a solution to the mess the government have made of Brexit, but we shall see.

even though the PM has made this look a mess she's not the only one to blame, the EU have simply bullied her into taking this deal as a ’take it or leave it’ because they know if they made it easy for us to leave other could (and would) follow. This whole thing has shown the EU for what they really are. Bully's who want everything their own way.

I am not, and have never been pro-Brexit but I didn't think it would become what it is now, which is a joke for the rest of the world to tease the UK by.

The EU haven't bullied anyone. They set out on day #1 what their red lines are, and invited us to put forward our plans, pointing out the options like Norway where the EU currently deals closely with third-party countries. What they didn't do was roll over going "England, you're so amazing we can't imagine you leaving, what can we possibly do to make this easier for you?".

We then managed to make it worse by wanting a whole load of things that are not only incompatible with the founding elements of the EU, but themselves (e.g. no customs union but no hard border between customs entities). Our red-lines were a complete shambles, and our negotiations were a joke from the beginning. We were the ones who actually wrote "CAKE AND EAT IT" on a briefing note to the new formed DExEU back in 2016.
