I hope this doesn't sound like a silly question. My wife and I are off to Strasbourg in April via EC/Eurostar/TGV. We're booked in Coach 16 seats 17-18 on the Eurostar.

Since my wife has a particular aversion to travelling backwards, can anyone tell me which way these seats face when travelling London-Paris? It's probably my ignorance but I can't see for sure on any of the info available online.

BTW if anyone has any hints or tips about travelling on Eurostar or TGV Est (on which we're going 1st class - whoopee!) they'd be much appreciated.

TIA

1. Your seats are forward facing towards Paris (backwards facing towards London).
2. I am not sure where you booked your tickets, but for future reference note that you can select your own seats on the Eurostar website. Using the seating plan Furrball has linked to, you can ensure you choose a forward-facing seat if you want to.
3. If you want to change seats after booking (or e.g. if you booked on another website) I have found Eurostar staff very helpful and for example, I have managed to change my booked seats in the St Pancras departure lounge after checking in.

But when you are on a Paris - Ebbsfleet - London service (or a non-stop London - Paris), you are fine
