Can't be done, I'm afraid. The Eurostar platforms at STP are 'International Airspace' and are only open to anyone travelling abroad. That's why the Javelins will use seperate platforms.
If you want to travel on HS1 to Ashford, you'll have to wait until the Javelin starts in '09

Has any one been on the Eurostar to Ashford if so do you need a passport?
Assuming you mean from STP ;) that can only be done by Eurostar employees! I think they will probably need a passport though just in case - for example, say there was a security alert at Ashford the train may go non-stop to France.

Correction: Eurostar staff don't need to bring a passport, they have a staff ID pass that contains biometric data.
