Euston to Glasgow Speed Record attempt

There was a good(?) item on the BBC news this morning about an attempt to beat the 3 hrs 52 min non-stop record for the journey, in an effort to get passengers enthused and back travelling by train. I think the record was set by the APT back in the 80's?
